Fire Inhibitor — Treated Lumber Burn Test
Side-by-side ignition test. AFT-treated lumber chars and self-extinguishes while the control plank reaches full involvement in under 90 seconds.
Read the Schneider storyFrom the silk curtains aboard Air Force One to the residential blocks of Pacific Palisades during the January 2025 fire front, this is what AFT chemistry has done when the cost of failure was measured in lives, capital, and irreplaceable assets.
When the Palisades fire front advanced on residential streets, AFT field crews pre-treated structures and surrounding vegetation in coordination with LAFD. Homes treated with AFT Fire Inhibitor were measurably defensible by the time the flame front arrived — letting engine companies focus suppression on the parcels that hadn't been reached in time.

“AFT crews treated our home perimeter the morning before flames reached our street. We came back to an intact house when half the block was gone. I have no other way to explain it.”

Thousands of gallons deployed in 72 hours
When the Palisades fire front advanced on residential blocks, private firefighters used AFT to pre-treat structures and surrounding vegetation. Homes treated with the AFT Fire Inhibitor were measurably defensible when the flame front arrived, allowing crews to focus suppression where it mattered most.

Result
Silk curtain treatment cleared cabin-grade flammability spec
The VC-25 cabin specified bespoke silk curtains that had to meet FAR 25.853 flammability without altering hand-feel, drape, or color. AFT Fire Inhibitor was applied during finishing and passed the full vertical-burn test panel on the first submission.

Result
100% pass rate, FAR 25.853
Gulfstream put three competing fire treatments through their cabin-textile qualification protocol. AFT Fire Inhibitor was the only chemistry to pass every panel of FAR 25.853 testing without compromising the soft-goods feel buyers expect.

Result
OEM-standard for entire model year
After internal trials on cabinetry, wall panels, and trim, Jayco standardized AFT Fire Defense Coating across an entire model-year build. The coating integrates inline with existing finishing without slowing throughput, giving every coach a measurable head start against fire propagation.

Result
Cabin-grade FAR clearance
Lear Jet needed a finishing partner who could deliver cabin-textile fire compliance without disrupting their existing supplier workflow. AFT Fire Inhibitor cleared cabin-grade FAR testing across multiple fabric stocks and is now part of the qualified materials list.

Result
Inline fire-inhibitor finishing
Schneider integrated AFT Fire Inhibitor directly into their textile finishing line, replacing a legacy treatment that had compliance drift between batches. Output is now consistent, environmentally cleaner, and qualifies finished goods for downstream aviation and transit buyers.
Aggregated outcomes from documented AFT deployments, qualification programs, and field response work.
No CGI, no time-lapse trickery — direct-flame footage, side-by-side burn tests, and field deployments. Forward these to engineering teams who want to see the chemistry behave before they spec it.

Read the Schneider storyPainted onto trim and cabinetry, the coating disappears into the finish. Direct-flame demo shows the substrate refusing to combust under sustained torch contact.
Read the Jayco storyThe same portable system AFT crews used in Pacific Palisades, deployed by a homeowner. Roof, eaves, perimeter vegetation, fence line — all in under an hour.
Read the Multiple storySame species, same dimensional stock, same ignition source. The only variable is whether the plank was pre-treated with AFT Fire Inhibitor. The treated piece chars, vents, and self-arrests where the control plank reaches full involvement.

Each packet contains the full narrative, qualification data, applicable certifications, and a one-page rep summary your prospect can take into a meeting.

The questions reps get most often after sharing these case studies. If yours isn't here, reach out — we will answer in writing.
On interior textiles and cabinetry treated in finishing — including the Air Force One silk curtains and Gulfstream / Lear cabin stock — the treatment is durable for the service life of the substrate. For exterior wildfire pre-treatment, performance is rated for one full fire season under typical weather; reapplication is recommended after heavy rain events or after the burn window has passed.
Yes. AFT crews staged ahead of the front in direct coordination with LAFD and on-scene incident command. Pre-treatment was prioritized along defensible-space lines so suppression resources could be concentrated on structures that did not have the AFT chemistry already in place — multiplying the effective reach of the available engine companies.
AFT chemistries carry FDNY acceptance, UL listings, GREENGUARD Gold for indoor air quality, NFPA 701 (textiles), ASTM E84 Class A (surface burning characteristics), FAR 25.853 (aircraft cabin flammability), and EN 13823 (single burning item). Test reports for each case study are included in the downloadable PDF packets.
Both. The Home Protection Solution kit is the same chemistry our field crews used on residential blocks during the Palisades response, packaged for owner-operator deployment with commercially available sprayers. For larger properties, HOAs, or full neighborhoods, we run the same treatment as a managed service.
It is on every coach in the qualified model year. Jayco integrated AFT Fire Defense Coating inline with their existing finishing process after internal trials, which means cabinetry, wall panels, and trim ship from the factory with the treatment baked in — no aftermarket step required.
Tell us what you are trying to protect and what failure looks like for you. We will scope a pilot, run the qualification testing alongside your existing protocol, and document outcomes the same way we did with Boeing, Gulfstream, Lear, and Jayco. Most B2B partnerships start with a single line or a single building.
